Not everything is about you. And I mean that in the best way possible. In parenting, it’s so easy to think (or even say out loud) “Ugh why are you doing this to me?” “How come you never behave for me?”
It isn’t about you. Our children are supposed to test the limits to learn where the boundaries are. This is healthy development and has absolutely nothing to do with you.
In these moments, instead of taking it personally and letting your mood be affected, ask yourself “how can I help them navigate what they are feeling/doing/struggling with right now?”

We had the best week in San Diego and loved our family friendly accommodations with @avantstay … Our home was kid friendly, filled with everything we needed, extremely spacious, and had absolutely gorgeous views of Balboa Park!
The next time you travel within the United States or Mexico, check to see if @avantstay has an available property; you won’t regret it 🙌🏼
Oh my goodness, I have SO many things to say about @thenewchildrensmuseum … one of my favorite places I have taken Kennadi!
This museum is all about inspiring children’s imaginations through interactive art and creativity. There are three floors of art installations and two outdoor areas.
I think every new area became her favorite! Such a variety that will keep your littles entertained for hours.
Kennadi had the time of her life and we will definitely be visiting every time we are in town. Thank you so much @thenewchildrensmuseum for having us 🏼
We had the most delicious breakfast this morning at @flapyourjacks 😍 They have a huge food and drink selection but, of course, we came for the pancakes! So much fun for the whole family, thank you for having us @flapyourjacks 🏼
I told Kennadi last week we were going to go to the zoo and every single day since all I have heard nonstop is “I go to zoo and see animals”…. and she had the BEST day. She was in love with every animal! She wanted to pet and feed every one… and even tried to crawl into a few exhibit areas to get to the animals
If you are in the area, it is a must visit with your little one(s)!...
